Sigma Synthetic Kabuki Kit (Review)

I’ve been neglecting the box of awesome goodies that I received from Sigma for a couple of weeks until one fateful  day I finally got these babies out of their box and gave them a try! Instant reviews for products that truly truly impress me.

The Sigma Synthetic Kabuki Kit ($56.00):

The Synthetic Kabuki Kit contains four face brushes that allow a high definition, flawless makeup application. The brushes in this kit feature exclusive Sigmax fibers, uniquely designed to apply powder, cream and liquid products without absorption into the bristles.

Dimensions (individual Brushes):

F80 - 6 in. (15.8 cm)

F82 - 6 3/16 in. (15.7 cm)

F84 - 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm)

F86 - 6 13/16 in. (17.3 cm)

Now let’s go through the brushes one by one…

F82 - Round Kabuki: Blend mineral products onto the skin—I  tried using this round kabuki brush to set my foundation all in using pressed powder, and it performed very well. Seamless, evened out finish. The powder did not look caked up at all. I have yet to try using this while applying mineral makeup, though!

F86 - Tapered Kabuki: Apply cream and liquid foundations onto the harder to reach contours of the face—this tapered kabuki brush works well with applying foundation on the crevices of the sides of the nose, even the inner corners of the eyes! Blends everything very well.

F84 - Angled Kabuki: Buff cream blush or bronzer onto the skin—this brush reminds me of the Marionnaud N32 Blush Brush! Although this one is much denser. I love using this for blush and contour powder! It just glides so well on the apples as well as the hollows of the cheeks! Works amaaazingly well with my Boho Balm Lip & Cheek Tint (used as a cheek tint) Gives off a very seamless finish. No streaks whatsoever.

F80 - Flat Kabuki: Application of liquid or cream products to flat areas of the face such as the forehead and cheeks—and who can ever forget about the Sigma F80? I already own one (also as a gift from Sigma) so this is my second F80 baby! There is no doubt how much I abused using my first one. This brush is just beyond amaaaazing. Perfect for applying foundation on the face with! I honestly use this brush every single day for applying my foundation. It’s the best.

I honestly love this set to the very core. Very sturdy handles+ferrules, chic sleek design, super soft bristles (brush), high quality guaranteed!
