Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream Bloggers Lunch

DSC09298

Blogging for Neutrogena Philippines has always been a pleasure to me. Nothing has amazed me more than their Hydroboost line which they launched last year. This year, I’m very happy to be part of another launching of another wonderful product, this time, from the Fine Fairness line!

Czar of Ogilvy contacted me and told me all about another lunch with the bloggers about the new launch. I accepted when I learned what it was…

Being a YouTube makeup guru as well as a beauty blogger, I’ve been getting requests of making BB Cream reviews. I couldn’t work on it right away because I’ve never ever been a fan of BB Creams. The only one I tried was from Maybelline—and I did not like it very much. (I’m not being biased, maybe I should give it another try!) Anyway, so when Czar told me this would be about launching the BB Cream for the Fine Fairness line, I told her I’d be there.

I was thinking, maybe this would be the BB Cream that would be worth a review in my blog and in my YouTube channel.

Now available at Watsons for only PHP 575.00 (priced at 20% from JAN 26 to FEB 22)

Regular price is PHP 720.00. I’d get myself a bottle if I were you! Discounts are always nice.

With the people from the Neutrogena Team and fellow bloggers!

It was an intimate lunch together with the other bloggers. It was so nice to see them again after a year (since the Hydroboost launch) I’ll be blogging separately about the food we had—it was perfect! Everyone got to try out the BB Cream from the Fine Fairness line thanks to Neutrogena! Look how pretty the packaging is!

DSC09288

Look who I sat with! It’s Donna from MyLucidIntervals! This girl is such a sweetheart. It was amazing how we “connected” I’m really happy to finally be able to talk to her! We had 4 hours of chatting after the event, too! See how amazing it is to meet people with the same passion as yours. Her skin was absolutely flawless. She looked amazing!

With Nikka Arcilla from the Neutrogena Team

DSC09297

I’m sure everyone knows this girl! It’s Helga Weber! It was soooo nice to see her again in person! Would you look at how gorgeous her hair color is? It was really flattering too when she told me she needs to stop reading my beauty blog because she always ends up spending for makeup!!! Ahhh soooo flattering. This is THE Helga Weber we’re talking about, you know. I first met her during the Neutrogena Dinner at Momo CafĂ© last year. I didn’t want to talk to her because I was really intimidated by her! She has the most amazing blog and I love her Instagram too! It was fun chatting with her about the NAPBAS event! She met one of my favorite bloggers Xia Xue!!! Lucky!

DSC09299

With the beautiful Julia! I swear she has the most perfect skin ever! But I did overhear that she tends to be allergic to scented products. We didn’t get to chat that much but I remember her from the Johnsons and Johnsons event! Hers was the question Judy Ann Santos read! I remember!!!

DSC09302

With the Neutrogena team! Nico (center) was seated on the same table as Donna and myself. We had so much fun chatting! We talked about Youtube, blogging, and even working out! This man is a BodyRocker too! How cool is that?

DSC09305

With Phoebe Ann! I didn’t get to talk to her that much but she was really nice! I first met her during the Myra E event! My first event ever!

DSC09306

Argie! One of the nicest bloggers I’ve ever met!

DSC09300

With Kira! Her dress looked amazing on her!

DSC09303

Cuteness overload!!! I’d never had the guts to dye my hair pink. This woman is my hairspiration!

Get Ready with Me!

Hi everyone!

This tag video has been going around for quite some time now in the beauty community in YouTube, and last Saturday I decided to do mine! It’s called a “Get Ready With Me!” video wherein you show yourself get ready from your makeup, hair and outfit of the day! I attended a Marketing seminar and had 4 hours to get ready since I woke up really early—hence, found time to film everything. I did skip the part where I curled my hair since I didn’t want the video to drag on too long. But not to worry, I have a separate hair tutorial for that. I used new products in this look that I did—and I can say about 90% are local brands! Good news for Pinays, isn’t it?

I hope you enjoy watching! I’ll be listing all the products I used down below. If you have further questions, just leave comments!

ItsJudyTime Meet and Greet in Manila 2012

IMG_9296

Hi everyone!

You know, I knew how awesome January 2012 would be for me because Benji & Judy got in touch with me last year and told me how they wanted me to co-host their 2012 Meet & Greet in Manila. It was honestly the best news ever. I’ve met Judy and Benji last February of 2011 and it was just beyond amazing. If you’ve watched this video and this video, you’ll know the fan girl that I was and still am!

We reserved the venue a few days before the event, and I was so glad that it worked out. I arrived at Red Mango at 6 to meet up with Benji to talk about the venue and stuff like that. Some of Judy’s relatives were already outside waiting and I got to chat with them for a short while.

More and more people came as the scheduled time drew closer and it was really great to see Judy walk in the venue! There’s no doubt that she looked stunning! She always does!

By about 7:30, Red Mango started to  get jam packed with all of Judy’s fans! It was such a happy place to be! Everyone was just laughing and getting to know each other. Of course, everyone was in the ItsJudysLife vlog for that day!

DSC09134DSC09139

Judy gave everyone NYX Cosmetics goody bags! We all had the best time answering the questions of that Q&A giveaway!

IMG_9214

Look how many people came to see Judy! The area was literally packed with people. Tita Nini and Judy’s cousins are right there!

DSC09140

Almost everyone bought their men to take photos for them! Thanks to all the supportive boyfriends, husbands, and brothers!

DSC09142

I wasn’t able to join this photo—if everyone joined in, we definitely wouldn’t fit in the frame. Look at all the smiling faces.

DSC09143

This is definitely a sweet photo! It was supposed to be a family shot, but Judy called me over! How touching! They are all Judy’s cousins—I love how big their family is. Everyone was just sooooo nice.

DSC09145

With Judy, Achi Char, and Benji

DSC09147

Look who I finally met! Teena Arches of AngKikayKo—who looked totally gorg that night! Oh yeah and she’s really funny in person too!

DSC09149

Here are some photos from my viewers/readers—I didn’t really expect people to take photos with me, but these darlings did! I still don’t have the copies of the others, so if we took a photo together, please post it on my Facebook Page! I’d love to grab them since I wasn’t able to take shots in my own cam!

I had the privilege to have dinner with Judy, Benji and the family after the Meet and Greet! We had dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Café.

IMG_9291

I was trying to not be a fan girl—but I totally loved chatting with Judy and Benji during dinner! It was so much fun!

DSC09150

The photo that Judy took on Benji’s phone:

IMG_9292

Judy’s cousins were all super nice! I felt so welcomed!

IMG_9236

Before I left after the dinner, I made sure I got a photo with Tita Nini! She’s just sooooo adorable!

IMG_9290

It was really a great day. I had to leave to get ready for the next two days that I spent with Judy, Benji, and their family!

What we did?

Stay tuned for the next blog post…

Turquoise and Purple Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial

3ab15e04433b11e1abb01231381b65e3_7

Hi everyone!

It’s 4:14 in the morning and I’m still up writing this blog entry for the new makeup tutorial I filmed yesterday. I really had fun playing with new color combinations and discovered cheap eye shadow shades with really great color pay-off! I regret not having taken any good photos from this look since the sun was already setting just as I was wrapping the shoot up; it really interfered with the camcorder settings. However, I was able to take photos via Instagram—my favorite iPhone app ever—and I believe it compensates for the lack of photos! Nevertheless, I worked really hard on this look! As always, all the links that you need and all the products that I used will be provided in this blog post as well as the information box in my YouTube channel. Scroll down for the blog tutorial and find the embedded video tutorial at the end of this post.

Love, Say

  1. Start off by applying foundation, conceal imperfections as well. I used my James Cooper Cream Foundation 02 (this foundation already doubles up as concealer) together with my Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush
  2. Set foundation in with a finishing veil/matte powder. I used Krave Minerale’s Oil Eliminator and Skin Hydrator and used it as a Finishing Veil
  3. Do your brows. I used Etude House’s Easy Brow Pencil in Dark Brown
  4. Take a shimmering white E/S and apply this on the inner corners of the eyes as well as the brow bone area. I used Sleek Makeup’s Innocence E/S from the Bad Girl Palette
  5. Take a matte brown eyeshadow and run this along your crease area, create a shadow and use the windshield wiper motion; leave the inner part of the lid untouched. Blend any harsh edges away. I used the matte brown eye shadow from my ELF Makeup Clutch
  6. Taking a purple eye shadow, apply this right on the outer corners of the eyes, build the color up, and then blend away thoroughly, making sure not to leave any harsh edge. I used Sleek Makeup’s Rebel E/S from the Bad Girl Palette
  7. Whatever’s left on the brush, shade your lower lash line
  8. Take a black eye shadow, and darken your crease area. I used Sleek Makeup’s Noir E/S from the Bad Girl Palette together with Marionnaud’s N37 Pointed E/S brush.
  9. Blend, blend, blend
  10. Take a turquoise eye shadow and dab it on the center lids, this will give the look a pop of color. I used the turquoise E/S from the ELF Makeup Clutch
  11. Take a liner and line your lash line, tightline, and line your inner rims. I used Nichido’s Mineral Kohl Pencil in Onyx
  12. Use a smudge-brush to smudge out the edges for a more subtler effect
  13. Curl your lashes and apply mascara
  14. Apply false lashes
  15. Contour for a slimmer looking face. I used Mememe’s Shimmer Stack in Bronze
  16. Apply blush. I used Krave Mineral’s Blush in Pink Muffin
  17. Apply a coral-y red lip color. I used Mememe’s Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Chara (Tuscan Red)

And there you have it! The Turquoise and Purple Smoky Eye Makeup Look.

Review & Demo: James Cooper Cream Foundation+Krave Minerale Oil Eliminator

Hi everyone!

This new video that I filmed yesterday is all about my favorite foundation+finishing powder combination. I did a James Cooper Cream Foundation Review and Demo before, and it never hurts to do a much better and improved version, right? I just had the urge to share this beautiful combination that I swear by everyday. Believe me when I say this stays on my face all day long with minimal and even no retouching sometimes!

I love how my makeupless face looked like in this video. I’ve been getting a lot of sleep the past days and I think Krave Minerale’s skincare products are helping too!!! It’s amazing. *I know that sounded like a plug or something, but I won’t really rave about  products that don’t work for me! I am seriously and honestly loving them.*

I hope you enjoy the video embedded at the end of this post, give the products I used a try, and tell me about it!

Love, Say

vlog (5)

I’ve never loved any other foundation the way I’m loving the James Cooper Cream Foundation. I have normal-dry skin, so cream-based foundations work best for me! I don’t oil up throughout the day nor need retouching with the help of Krave Minerale’s Oil Eliminator and Skin Hydrator! Ahhh…my holy grail. I honestly swear by this combination.

Go through this list to learn more about the products and why I love them:

JAMES COOPER CREAM FOUNDATION

vlog (8)

  • I am in the shade of CF-02 (yellow undertone)
  • cream-based (great for people with normal-dry and combination skin type)
  • affordable quality at PHP 550.00 at James Cooper counters  (available in Watsons)
  • compact and lightweight; can easily fit a makeup bag
  • no weird scent
  • gives the most flawless finish ever
  • doubles up as a concealer
  • lasts me 5 months (depending on frequency of use)

*If you have oily skin, using the James Cooper Cream Foundation might cause you to get oily throughout the day. What you need is:

KRAVE MINERALE OIL ELIMINATOR AND SKIN HYDRATOR (Order here!)

vlog (10)

  • acts as a primer AND a finishing veil
  • translucent powder that blends with skin tone
  • doesn’t leave a white cast on the face like other translucent powders
  • no weird smell
  • mattifies the face instantly
  • makes the makeup last ALL DAY LONG *I’m not even kidding!
  • Controls oil production
  • comes with a powder puff
  • affordable at PHP 280 from Krave Minerale
  • non-acnegenic (you won’t get acne from using this!)
  • hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores!)
  • specifically formulated to virtually erase the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles & large pores when applied
  • has PEARL POWDER that aids in healing, skin brightening, anti-wrinkling, and sun protection

  • has SODIUM HYALURONATE, the world’s powerful skin hydrator, which brings balance to your complexion & keeps your make up application fresh all day long

I don’t believe I’ve raved enough about this product. It is seriously one of the bests I’ve ever used in my whole life. I rarely use powder to set my makeup these days because I always reach for my Krave Minerale Oil Eliminator and Skin Hydrator and use it as a finishing veil. I am seriously and madly in love with this. New stocks are coming in, so don’t worry if it’s out of stock at the moment! You HAVE to get yourself one of this. It will change your life, I tell you.

And of course, the best brush I’ve ever owned (next to Marionnaud’s N32 Blush Brush)

SIGMA F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush (Order here!)

vlog (12)

I did a review on this baby and there is no doubt how beautiful it does its job.

  • sturdy handle and ferrule
  • super dense synthetic brushes making it perfect to pick up creamy products
  • can be used for foundation, blush, contour powder, highlight application
  • very versatile
  • no shedding
  • $16.00

Hope you enjoy this video featuring my favorite babies!

January Shoot and BTS “Discovering Your Own Beauty: A Beauty Campaign”

HPIM0060

Our beauty campaign, “Discovering Your Own Beauty” makeover series commenced last January 15th with our first model for the month of January, Raych Ramos.

Raych is a 20-year-old student of Miriam College. She is a hip-hop dancer and is obviously very adorable! She was really quiet at the shoot but we totally had a lot of fun laughing over the bloopers and the re-takes! Raych was such a lovely and sweet person to work with. She even helped out with the lines when my tongue got twisted with some statements!

Now I’m going to narrate how the shooting went with this series of photos taken from the day itself:

DSC09065

We made it on time! Scheduled time at the studio was 1-3PM. Trina, the gorgeous Managing Director of Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals, arrived minutes ahead of Raych and myself. Raych and I actually met downstairs and went to the venue together. We were wondering why the elevator only went up till the 7th floor, and the studio was at the 8th—later realizing that we had to go another floor using the stairs! Raych and I had a good laugh out of that incident.

The studio we worked in. Many thanks to my photographer Mark Bradford for suggesting this beautiful place!

Thank you for being such a sweet and lovely model, Raych! I had so much fun working with you! We hope you love your makeover!

Biggest thanks to Krave Minerale for producing this whole project and to Trina, the Managing Director, for being such a delight to work with!

And that is a wrap! Next shoot will be on February!
