Photoshoot at Rouge Studio with Mark Bradford

October 22, 2011—Had a photoshoot at Rouge Studio with my sisters and my sister friends. The photographer was my sister’s friend’s brother, Mark Bradford.

Despite the limited space at Rouge Studio, I loved my work station. It was a misfortune for me to have left all my makeup brushes at home, and I had to use what was available—that time, Q-tips! More commonly known as cotton buds.

I gave my sister, Iza, a classic smoky eye look and soft pink lips. The Q-tips made it easier to smudge all the color out. I used MAC’s Beauty Marked E/S and a couple of black eyeliner to achieve the look. I used NYX Tea Rose for her lip color.

I also worked on my sister Lady. I gave her eyes a pop of color by lining the inner rims with a bright purple liner. I kept everything else neat and simple.

Behind the Scenes: 3M8 Charmed Photoshoot

I had the privilege to doll up our class’ main actresses for our play for the TJMA General Assembly at UST. The looks I did on them particularly fit each role they played. I worked with a mix of ethereal colors, as well as browns and auburns to add depth and dimension. As always, James Cooper’s Cream Foundation perfected everything. I cannot stress how much that foundation gets the work done every time. My models were all blessed with beautiful skin, so concealing was done at a minimal. LuLu Makeup’s Concealer (http://www.thelulumakeup.tk) hides all the imperfections like dark circles, so my ladies looked bright and awake for the shoot.

Behind the Scenes: LuLu Makeup Photoshoot

After being postponed due to the strong typhoon last week, the photoshoot for LuLu Makeup finally pushed through. The venue was held at the Camera Cart Studio at Sikatuna Village. The shoot started at 1:00PM and we luckily ended at around 6:00—finishing all the looks that were planned. The Lu sisters (Charlene, Dane and Justine) including Janica and I , were all present. Our photographer was Ed Altares.

The studio was very nice. I felt really comfortable working with the LuLu Team. The only pressure that was pressed on us was time! We hustled like we never hustled before! I regret not having taken more BTS shots since I forgot to bring my extra pairs of hands.There were plenty of LuLu Makeup palettes for everyone to use! Here is Achi Char (Charlene Lu) working on the hair of Dane.My second and third look. You can veryu much tell what the second look is all about! I love you KARMINMUSIC! I wasn’t able to take a shot of the first look, but the shots from Kuya Ed will definitely compensate for that!Here’s another long long sister of mine! The beautiful Janica Buhain! Luckily squeezed in these shots in between changing of hair and makeup.Achi Char with myself in my “just-had-squid-for-lunch-look” Hahaha! I told you we can totally pass for sisters! Can you believe she’s married? She looks sooooooo young! When the pressure was dying… Seriously one of the most beautiful faces I’ve worked on. This is Dane Lu. She’s only 16! Such potential to be a model. She has the most beautiful skin ever. I hardly did any concealing. I heard Janica rave about Justine’s complexion as well! The Lu sisters definitely have great genes! ░ Makeup Gig: Pre-Debut Shoot @ Cristina Villas Mountain Resort ░

 Last Monday, the eleventh of April, I was given the chance to work on a pre-debut shoot that was held at Cristina Villas Mountain Resort in Antipolo. It was actually the very first time I accepted a gig that far and stayed for the whole duration of the shoot which was about 5-6 hours. I felt like I was on a vacation because the venue was really nice! With the exception of the steep walkways, of course. 

I worked on my debutante, Raiza, who was such a pleasant person to be with! She did nothing but smile and laugh all throughout the shoot! She worked it! She's such a natural when it comes to photo shoots. Her spirit was so high that it's contagious. It was really fun working with her. 

Elaiza was really kind to take shots of myself and Raiza while doing the makeup. She reminded me of Paulo's cousin, Stephanie! They look so identical! 

Minimal coverage on her face was needed. We started out with a simple look and packed on the E/S after 2-3 looks.

I had a lot of fun chatting with the photographers from WarmLights Studio, Mr. and Mrs. Macaraeg and Elaiza, Raiza's cousin. They all made me feel "at home". No pressure! It was like working with people I've known for decades.

When it was time to start shooting, Raiza's daddy was also there to take shots of her! It was really cute to see how supportive her parents are! Raiza's mom is such a cool mom, she was actually the one who told Raiza how to pose and the likes. They looked so perfect together as a family! I couldn't help but smile while watching (and taking shots as well). Her parents are really proud of Raiza! Who wouldn't be? She's a Dean's Lister in Ateneo de Manila University!

We shot until sunset and wrapped up the shoot with water shots. Raiza's makeup stayed for a maximum of 8 hours (EVEN WHEN SHE GOT WET ALL OVER!) It's amazing! I did not retouch her makeup, even! *Primer is really the key!*

After packing up, we all went to have dinner @ Cloud 9 which has the most wonderful cliff overlook of the whole city with the night lights! It was such a beautiful sight to see. Dinner was also lovely! We had generous servings of soup, kare kare, pork, chopseuy, rice, and the likes. We were even serenaded by a trio! It was so relaxing to hear them sing after a long day's work! I am SO going back there! Such a relaxing place to be.
