░ How-to: Apply Gel Eyeliner ░

Hello everyone! I'm back with another tutorial. More of a demonstration on applying gel eyeliner. I personally feel that gel liners are better than liquid ones because 
1. Gel eyeliners are applied with a brush--and that's a plus for precise drawing.
2. Using liquid eyeliners is not a very good option for people with shaky hands. Do you agree?
I very much opt to use brushes when lining my eyes. My top 2 ways of doing it is using gel eyeliners and using eyeshadow applied with an angled eyeliner brush. I think I demonstrated how I did that (lining the eyes with eyeshadow) in my recently uploaded tutorial. 
So I am here to judge the performance of the Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.

Let's enumerate the good sides of this product:

• The packaging is really great. Glass container with an aluminum (or tin?) cover
• Comes with a free brush, which is really of good quality
• Color stays on for hours and hours and hours! I tried working out with it on and the sweat didn't make it fade away!
• Intense color (01 Black)
• Good price at 449.00PHP
• Easily removed with eye makeup remover (Maybelline Eye and Lip Makeup Remover)
• Available in all leading department stores and Maybelline counters in the Philippines.

A review will never be complete without cons being stated. However, there is just really ONE thing I disliked about the product as a whole.

• The box gave me a difficult time getting the product out. I figured I had to tear the sides of the carton because of the traced broken lines, but didn't want to because I wanted the box to be whole for the review!

░ Update: Faux Lashes and Wigs ░

I've been meaning to get hold of these kinds of lashes for my tutorials and I have finally found them today! I went searching through Google and it directed me to this page http://www.mydivascloset.com.

I think these kinds would very much increase the creativity of tutorials, especially costume-wise. 

  

Not only do they offer these gorgeous lashes but they also offer wigs! There's no doubt that we've all seen Michelle Phan use variety of wigs in her tutorials. And they very much made her tutorials more creative than they already are. Remember the Tim Burton Look she did with that little curly afro 'do? Amazing.

Not only can you create cute looks, but also extreme ones! Like these ones below. You can always mimic the   'do of villains and such in fairy tales. Have hair as high as the ones people wore back in the 18th century. 

These things are definitely helpful for all the tutorial makers out there. 

They do ship internationally, but I don't know if Philippines is included in the list of international shipping they do. I most certainly hope it is! Anyway, I'll be back with more!

░ Beauty Tutorial: Red Carpet Look ░

Hey loves! I've created an original look yesterday after failing to do the eyes in my supposed to be Anime Eyes Tutorial. I am still going to practice a little more and hopefully get the eyes correctly on my second try and be able to upload the tutorial. For the meantime, here's the look I made highlighting soft, smokey cat eyes and bold/plain lips. In this video, I was able to show myself using the Fanny Serrano brush, and the two Ever Bilena lip colors I purchased this past week. I hope using them in this tutorial will help people out there who needs actual demos on how they are used to influence their decision making.

I opted to go for the bolder look first, using Ever Bilena's Matte Lipstick in Storm. The second look with Ever Bilena's Matte Lipstick in Off Beat Pink is for people out there who don't like too much intensity on the color of their lips. So basically you can wear either of the two, whichever your heart desires.

Now focusing on the eyes, I used my palettes from DollFace, the 88 Earth Tone Palette and the 96 Color Palette. The colors from both palettes are really perfect to mix and match. I wanted an ethereal feel to be accentuated on my eyes, hence creating a smokey outline first using a mix of grey and dark plum color, and later on filling the blank portion with light blue color. I lined my eyes using Fanny Serrano's #7 Eyeliner Brush and the shimmery black shade from my MAC Quad. Lining the eyes with eyeshadow is truly a trick I love. Less messier than any other liner. It's my favorite next to gel liner.

We don't need an obvious color to show up on our cheeks since the eyes and the lips are fine of their own. A hint of color would do just fine, just don't overdo it.

I am hoping that this tutorial will be helpful to people out there! Especially those who have asked me about the Fanny Serrano eyeliner brush and the lipsticks.
