My Skin Care Routine Using the Neutrogena Hydroboost Line

During the Neutrogena Dinner and the Neutrogena Hydroboost Launching Event that I was invited to a couple of weeks back (thanks to the Neutrogena Team), I was introduced to the newest skin care line called Hydroboost. I personally think that it was perfect that I had the opportunity to attend the events since I have dry skin type. Finding products that would cater to my dry skin was actually very difficult because a lot of them give temporary remedies, and not long term ones.

Let me now breeze you through my current skin care routine:

• I remove my makeup using Etude House’s Eye and Lip Makeup Remover and Mascara Remover (this would cover my lips, eye makeup, brows, and gel liner)
• The next product I use is the Neutrogena Hydroboost Mousse Cleanser “the rich lather foams away impurities while a special hydrating agent restores skin’s natural moisture balance”—this product actually melt away my remaining makeup (i.e. foundation, concealer…) It’s amazing how it makes my face so smooth after rinsing! This product comes in a pump bottle, and as you can see in the photos below, I’m almost running out; that is how much I love this cleanser.
• The next step is using the Hydroboost Clear Lotion “immediately tones and refines skin without causing tightness. Gives you a shower of fresh hydration for a dewy complexion.”—this acts as a toner, simply put. It doesn’t sting the skin as other toners would. Again, more hydration is given to the skin. Just imagine that!
• Next step is moisturizing. I actually choose between using this products or the next one. Let’s start with the Hydroboost Water Gel “Purified Hyaluronic Acid and Olive Extract continuously release moisture to the skin’s surface while boosting skin cell’s ability to retain water.”—of all the moisturizers that I have tried, this one is my #1. I cannot put into words how great this product is! It is contained in a jar, so I don’t recommend sharing as it is very unhygienic. Use spatulas, if you may. The active ingredients stated above are the culprit to the amazing hydration that this product gives to the skin. Moisturization like no other.
• When I don’t use the water gel, I use the Hydroboost Essence “intensely moisturizing and deeply revitalizing, this rich essence has powerful hydration properties to keep skin plump, soft and supple”—this is more of a serum type of moisturizer. Again, you can imagine how much moisturization my skin gets from this product.
• Other skin care products that I use: Pond’s Black Facial Wash, St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque

Sunday Haul from Tony Moly and Aido

Tony Moly recently opened a branch @ SM City Manila and I paid my first visit last July 24. The store is similar to that of Etude House [which is a sister company of Tony Moly] and I bought two items just for the sake of “trying Tony Moly out”. Also, I had to find a good lash adhesive since my LashGrip has dried up and died, and my teeny tiny Etude House lash glue has ran out already.

Let’s start the haul!

1. Tony Moly Silky Glaze Fruit Hairspray (maximum hold) PHP 178.00—this product claims to have a hair setting effect that lasts all day long. The scent of this hairspray is “Refresh Citrus Fragrance” and I was really blown away by it. It’s not too sweet not too fruity. Just right is what explains its scent best. I’m going to do a review on this very soon!

2. Aido Eye Putti PHP 140.00—this product is “for creating double lids with ease” and “provides excellent adhesion of eyelashes”. I guess the reason why I never saw this is because I don’t check out Aido at all, and it is marketed as a product that creates double lids—not as eyelash glue. You can clearly see it in the box. You’ll have to read the back portion to be able to know that it can also be used as lash adhesive! I’ll be doing a review on this this weekend.

3. Tony Moly Premium Eyelash PHP 88.00—I know I have more than enough lashes here, but I just couldn’t resist Tony Moly’s lash displays! I ended up buying one pair for 88.00! Pretty silly move, I know. Well, I just really wanted to try it out. By the way, my 3rd batch of Lash Sets is still open for orders! Click this to see the designs!

Lancome Haul: Color Design Sensational Effects Eyeshadow Palette and Color Fever Shine Lipstick

I uploaded a video using my iPhone on July 24, 2011 about the Lancome products that one of my best friends, April Mindy, gave me! She recently came back from Canada for a vacation, and I was really delighted of the pasalubongs that she gave me.

Before I say anything else, let me just clarify that I am still against animal cruelty. The internet gives ambiguous information on whether Lancome still tests or not. I believe I have the right to appreciate and share about these Lancome products because someone special gave this to me. If you feel like you can’t read this, you may exit accordingly.

Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eyeshadow

I love how sturdy the eyeshadow compact is. Well, considering it’s Lancome, it’s not a surprise! The eyeshadow colors are particularly perfect for night outs, or even day dates. I’ll be doing a tutorial soon using this palette.

Lancome Color Fever Shine in Hot Nights
