FRESH MAKEUP Tutorial

Back from my makeup tutorial hiatus! Today I give you a tutorial on how to achieve a Fresh Makeup Look!

We all gotta start with primer! I have been loving this Baby Skin Pore Eraser from Maybelline. It does an amazing job smoothening the surface of the skin making foundation application so much easier! Pores are visibly minimized (not totally “erased” because, c’mon, they’re pores! They’re naturally there!) Shine is INSTANTLY removed upon application! Super soft, baby smooth skin finish. Up next? Foundation! For this look I used my Look Beauty Airbrush Base Foundation for that beautiful finish. A little goes a long way. Very blendable on the skin and stays on perfectly all throughout the day. I skipped concealer mainly because this foundation gives me great coverage. All imperfections covered! Set all that good foundation in using the Carmen Claire Shine Patrol Face Powder. *medium* I swear my this powder when I am in need something that would keep oiliness on my T-zone area at bay, hence the name of it! Dust a few on the t-zone, working your way out, and you’re good to go! (PHP415.00 from https://www.facebook.com/carmenclaireco) Now available in 4 shades!

Brows are next! If you have neatly shaped brows, all you need to do is fill ‘em in! I used my new Look Beauty Brow Perfect Kit! I used the middle shade, filled my brows in and used the Fixing Gel to set the hairs in place! This kit also has stencils and even brow tutorial cards on the bottom for all those who needs help with their brows. You also get tweezers and a dual-ended brush for application! Time to add color to those cheeks!!! Make Me Blush in Rosy has beautiful rosy shade and a hint of shimmer to add highlight to those cheekbones! This will make you look radiant in an instant! (PHP600.00 http://www.makeuphub.com.ph/product/make-me-blush)

A berry colored lip stain will surely add more color to this “fresh” look we’re going for! I used Look Beauty’s Fat Lips in Smooch! Very moisturizing on the lips and gives a vibrant color! (PHP400.00 http://www.makeuphub.com.ph/product/fat-lips)

Give those lashes some life! I tried using the Maybelline One by One Volum’Express Mascara and it seems to have worked well! Opened up my eyes even more! (Order from Chedelyn’s Cosmetic Collection)

A precise eyeliner pen will always be my best friend! I lined my eyes using the Physician’s Formula 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Serum + Liner. It claims to aid in the growing of lashes while acting as an eyeliner as well! Pretty cool huh? (Order from Chedelyn’s Cosmetic Collection)

In need of an affordable eye primer? Try LA Color’s Pro Primer HD E/S Primer! Gives a good base on the lids and makes the eyeshadows last longer! (PHP270.00 LA Colors counters Department Stores)

All you need is a shimmering white eyeshadow and a matte brown one! A wash of the white all over the lid area, and darken the crease using the brown one. On a budget? Try the PHP50.00 single eyeshadows new from San San! Pigmentation is great and I find that these are long-lasting shadows (together with the primer) (PHP50.00 “Vanilla Bean” and “Deep Earth Brown” HBC Outlets)

Sculpt those cheekbones using the Essence Sun Club bronzer! Who doesn’t want a slimmer looking face? (PHP259.00 Essence SM Megamall)

There you have it! A fresh makeup look suited for everyday!

I filmed a makeup tutorial two days ago and I used the shade SMOOCH. I love how easily it glides on the lips! Its consistency is indeed very balmy and it leaves a vibrant color the lips! It has a glossy finish giving your lips that very healthy look. I instantly fell in love with SMOOCH because it has a beautiful berry color, a shade that I rarely use! Smooch definitely gave a pop of color to my rather simple makeup for that day.

Look at that shine and intense color! I did 2 swipes on the upper and bottom lips. This is suitable for people with dry lips given its moisturizing texture.

Longevity wise? I was able to wear this for about 4 hours and it didn’t fade. Reapplication is needed especially if you go out eating/drinking. Let’s be realistic!

Pop Beauty Eye Cake “Bright Blues” Swatches + Review

I was very curious about this eyeshadow set because I have never tried using makeup in a can! This saves us from the hassle of cracked palettes while travelling! This container won’t easily get squished or break—only one of the many pros I can think of this product.

Pop Beauty is a brand from the UK and an online store from the Philippines called MMS Makeup Store https://www.facebook.com/MMSmakeupstore carries it! This particular product, the Pop Beauty Eye Cake comes in different shades that matches different kinds of eye color! I have the shade in ‘Bright Blues’, containing colors that complements brown eyes.

At the back of the container you will see the ingredients, the shade, description about the product and where the product is from.

We have 5 different shades—starting for the top left corner, we have a shimmery white eye shadow which is perfect to use for the brow bone and even highlighting | next is a beautiful  blue shade that can act as a blue eyeliner *tried it and loved it* or even plain ol’ eye shadow | next is a green eye shadow | a lighter green shadow | and lastly, an aqua blue green color.

Hi everyone!

One of the most common questions I get is how I keep my hair healthy and shiny after all the color treatments and heat styling—which is inevitable being a beauty guru—I do with my hair.

I’ll admit, I have naturally straight hair, but that doesn’t mean I don’t need to maintain and care for it anymore! I came up with this post to share the  products I’ve recently been loving (I like to experiment!) Read till the end and you might get the chance to try out these products as well!

After working on a project with HBC, part of the loot they gave me was the PROTEIN HAIR TREATMENT.

What does protein treatment do to the hair?

For women who color and straighten their hair, protein treatments strengthen areas of the hair that are weakened by chemicals. They work to build your hair shaft back up because much of the daily care and "extras" you do to create a hairstyle chip away at your hair's cuticle, or outer layer. Even if you chemically treat your hair and it seems healthy enough, a monthly or bi-monthly treatment will keep it in tip-top shape. This product came in handy when I found my hair almost damaged from a hair project I did with a company wherein I had to use 5 different heat styling tools in just  one day of shooting. I made sure I applied this protein hair treatment on the middle part down to the roots to rejuvenate my hair! See to it that you use only a tiny amount on the scalp area to avoid dandruff! Rinse well after about 3-5 minutes and you’re good to go. You may go longer if you want to! Noticeably shinier and softer hair right after use! A jar costs PHP400+, quite affordable for such a huge container! This will last you for months!
