Sunflower Gray from the Flower Series: Circle lens from Dull to Doll

DSC08944

My good friend and owner of AigooShoppe now Dull to Doll, Valerie, sent me a new pair of contact lenses to try out. These are the Sunflower Gray from the Flower Series. It is 14mm in diameter; perfect for ladies who want a little bit of enlargement of the irises but not overly large compared to the 15mm diameter lenses. I love how the Sunflower Gray lenses give the eyes a doll-like effect. The flower design is extremely gorgeous to look at, not to mention. In terms of comfort, these lenses get a 4/5 from me. I have this habit of putting on lenses on tired eyes which explains my tweets before on how my eyes have become super sensitive to lighting. Using these lenses on well-rested eyes works so much better. It just so happens that I have to push through with work (i.e. filming and blogging) no matter how tired I am sometimes. Overall, the Sunflower Gray lenses from the Flower Series is one of my most favorite contact lenses.

Here’s a closer look on the Sunflower Gray lenses:

I used the lenses in one of my recent tutorials (Sultry Glowing Makeup Look) and it really complemented my eye makeup well. If you wanna watch the video, click here.

Lorys Hair Cream Review: Why I love it!

HPIM4886

Thanks to my parents’ good genes, I have naturally straight hair. People often ask me if I have undergone any straightening procedures such as rebonding, and I always proudly answer that I have not. I believe in loving and making use of what God gave you. I am especially thankful for that. A long history of my hair would have to be written in a separate post since it’s too long! However, I am here to share awesome hair conditioning products that totally works for me!

Having naturally straight hair doesn’t mean you can leave it at that. You still have to get occasional trims to keep the ends healthy, and conditioning treatments to keep it healthy! I’ve sported long hair for 3 years now and I don’t plan to get divorced with it either, although I did get a 4-5 inch trim a few weeks ago. There are only a few hair conditioning products out there that I totally swear by. It’s my great pleasure to discover another one.

Being a hair and makeup artist and YouTube guru, my hair goes through heat-styling almost every event/filming session. It is a must for me to restore its health by eating well, exercising and most especially using products that deeply conditions.

Lorys has been internationally recognized in over 40 countries. Some of which include USA, UK, Venezuela, UAE, Malaysia, and many more.

LORYS_BACK450gLORYS_FRONT450g

Anisha of Rjtech Corporation, the exclusive distributor of Lorys Hair Cream from Brazil, contacted me last November and asked me if I would be interested to review some of their products. I received the package after a few days and put the hair creams to a test.

Starting off with the Duo Chocolate Hair Creamwith thermal activated silicone developed for the intensive care of damaged and sensitive hair. It’s full combination of chocolate, keratin, and silicon restores the vitality and shine of chemically treated hair.

HPIM4887

I still have Etude House’s Bubble Hair Color in Natural Brown on my hair which makes it part of the “chemically treated” hair type. It gives immediate hydration which is totally a huge thing when it comes to restoring the hair’s texture. Among the three that I received, this flavor is my absolute favorite! Not only does it smell like chocolate, but it makes my hair sooooo soft like crazy. Who could resist chocolate, right?

Next up is the Fruit Cocktail Hair Creamdeveloped to care and condition all types of hair. Specially formulated with nutritive and revitalizing fruit extracts which help to protect each hair strand from harmful elements and make hair softer, bouncier, and more shiny.

HPIM4890

If you are the kind of person who loves fruity/bubblegum-like scents, you will love this one! This is suitable for all hair types, making it perfect to use in the household.

Lastly, we have the Snake Oil Effect Hair Creamspecially formulated to protect, restore, and condition damaged and chemically treated hair. Its silicon-enhanced formula forms a protective film over the hair, increasing its resistance and flexibility. It leaves hair nourished, soft, and shiny.

HPIM4892

At first I found it quite freaky. In the video (embedded down below) I was like, “did they actually use snake oil in here?” Turns out, I didn’t see the “effects” word that comes right after! Anyway, this cream’s for damaged and chemically treated hair. I’m sure it works just as awesome as the two I previously mentioned, however, the only thing I don’t like about the Snake Oil Effects Hair Cream is its scent. Maybe it’s just me! I guess I’m just not a fan of the smell of this one.

You can use it in two ways!

  1. After shampooing, apply cream throughout wet/damp hair, massaging thoroughly from roots to ends for 2 minutes. Rinse well.
  2. For special conditioning treatment, apply cream on hair and scalp and allow it to penetrate for 15 minutes wearing an aluminum cap or hot towel. Shampoo and rinse thoroughly afterwards.

I use Lorys Hair Cream everyday! It’s my long hair’s bestfriend.

Why don’t you give it a try if you haven’t?

Beauty UK Lipstick #10 Passion: Review and Demo

DSC07715

Me: “Oh my gosh, why do I feel tingling sensation on my lips?! Could this be an allergy?!”

sat still for a few minutes…

Me: “Okay, false alarm. It’s just minty. How cool is that?!”

This Beauty UK Lipstick is part of the amazing loot bag that Sarah of Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione gave me. I don’t really review products that are a total fail, so you can probably guess why I’m back with a review and a demo post once again!

This is the Beauty UK Lipstick in #10 PASSION.

DSC07714

DSC07712

Packaging—I give it a 5/5 for the simple yet sturdy design. The color cap doesn’t fall out, everything’s kept sleek.

DSC07711

Pigmentation—I love how the color stands out. The pigmentation will most definitely not fail you at all. I’ve worn this to school and I really think that it’s a good lip color! One of my favorites, as of the moment.

This is how it looks like on the lips:

 HPIM5095

Application—you will actually notice how smoothly it goes on.

Consistency—it has a creamy consistency, but not overly creamy to the point that it would melt in the heat.

Extra Oomph—you will also feel a tingling sensation after a few seconds—it’s like an invigorating treat for your lips! Enjoy it!

Smell—it has a minty smell. Quite a nice treat especially when you’re talking to someone! Just make sure your breath’s fresh too!

I am totally in love with this lip color. I recommend it to everyone! You can get your own (even in other shades) by visiting Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione:

Perfect On-the-go Brush Set: Megaga Premiere 10 Travel Brush Set

Most of the time, my readers/viewers ask me what the perfect brush set is for starters. Normally, I would recommend brushes from Marionnaud, my favorite line that can be bought from Watsons/SM Department Stores; or even brushes from local makeup lines like Nichido and Ever Bilena. You can never go wrong with those brands (that is, if you prefer really affordable brushes; Marionnaud can be a little pricier compared to the two local brands that I mentioned, though) As the saying goes, “You get what you pay for.”

HPIM5047

In this post, I’m going to introduce to you the Megaga Premiere 10 Travel Brush Set. This is for all the women out there who seek for a high quality brush set that is perfect for traveling! I, myself, am a woman on the go. This is the main reason why I think the Megaga Premiere 10 Travel Brush Set is my perfect mate.

As most of you already know, I bring my 15-inch Belle Satchel with me everyday. My planner, books, and other pouches take up a lot of space in there making it impossible for me to fit in my makeup bag *which I showed in the video* Having the Premiere 10 Brush Set makes it easier for me to bring all the brushes that I need without the hassle!

I love how lightweight and how thin the brush bag is, making it perfect to throw in my satchel without the added weight. I love how compact yet it is able to fit 10 essential brushes that you can use for touch ups!

Here are the brushes that the Megaga Premiere 10 Travel Brush Set contains:

1. Powder Brush—*I called it a blush brush in the video* It works either way. Which makes it perfectly versatile—something I love about brushes! You can apply powder, blush, bronzer and face highlighter with this baby. The bristles are oh so soft, no scratchy feeling on the face at all!

HPIM5051

2. Foundation Brush—perfect for applying cream, liquid, and gel-based foundations! The bristles of the brush feel absolutely soft and dense, making it able to pick up more products and allow ease of blending.

HPIM5050

3. Large Eyeshadow Brush

HPIM5049

4. Medium Eyeshadow Brush

HPIM5052

5. Smudge Brush—perfect alternative for when you don’t have a cotton bud/Q-tip to use

HPIM5058

6. Angled Eyeshadow Brush—*which I called a concealer brush with a tapered end in the video* Again, you can use it either way!

HPIM5057

7. Retractable Lip Brush—this has got to be my favorite! Un-retractable lip brushes are always too difficult to carry around in the bag.

HPIM5056

8. Angled Eyebrow/Eyeliner Brush—perfect for the brows, yet also great for lining the eyes!

HPIM5055

9. Fan Brush—for sweeping all those fall outs away!

HPIM5054

10. Eyeliner Brush—for creating the sleekest and most precise cat eye on your eyes!

HPIM5053

You can see more details about this brush set when you click THIS. It also comes in other colors! I currently have the one with the black brush pouch, pink handles and metallic pink ferrules. If you’re more of a gold type of person, Megaga also has it!

I personally love this set for all the reasons I have mentioned. Wrapping it all up, why I see myself carrying this with me everyday:

  1. It’s pink!!!
  2. It has 10 brushes that are fully functional and very versatile
  3. It’s lightweight
  4. It has a chic-looking brush pouch/bag

If you’re an on-the-go woman like I am, why don’t you give the Megaga Premiere 10 Brush Set a try?

Celeteque DermoScience+ Acne Spot Corrector Gel

DSC08016

Just like any other 20-year-old woman out there, I get acne! I’ve mentioned before how I use Panoxyl and Terramycin for treating my acne (especially PMS-related ones) I use Panoxyl on closed acne to dry them up. If you use Panoxyl on open ones, it would really hurt [in the vernacular, mahapdi] I use Terramycin on open acne; particularly the post-popped-with-pus ones since this ointment, which has been used in our family for years now, is an antibacterial ointment which prevents scarring as well. It can also be used on wounds and burns, not just acne.

DSC08024

Ever since I saw Celeteque’s newest skincare lines (which they’ve launched plenty of) I’ve been eyeing on the spot corrector gel from the ‘Acne Solutions’ line. I finally bought it and tested it out for a few days before making this review.

The Acne Spot Corrector Gel cost me PHP 169.00. Not bad, since Panoxyl costs more! Terramycin costs waaaay more, even.

I was on my PMS-days that time and I had acne all over my face. I gave the product a try and true enough, after just 2 days of treating (I apply it once a day before I go to bed) my acne shrunk and disappeared totally on the third day.

DSC08021

Let’s go through the nitty gritty of this product:

The Celeteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel contains Hydroxy Acid combined with Poly Hydroxy Acid which aids in exfoliating dead skin cells and helps in diminishing pimples and other acne imperfections to achieve clear and smooth skin. It contains Lilac Leaf Cell Culture Extract that helps reduce sebum production to prevent future acne breakouts. It also has a biotechnological complex that acts as a natural astringent and sebum controller.

DSC08022

The only thing I noticed is that I was left with dry patches on the acne area during the treatment process. It’s really nothing to be alarmed about, but when I apply makeup on the area, I saw visible flaking. A clear proof that the product is working, though!

Overall, I’d recommend this product to anyone out there having troubles with acne, either long-term ones or PMS-related ones. Albeit, if you’re not too sure whether this would work for you or not, I suggest you consult with your dermatologist first! As my fellow blogger and good friend Janica would say “What works for me may not work for you.” So use at your own risk!

I give this product 4 out of 5 stars. A perfect replacement for Panoxyl. I see this as a milder version of Panoxyl. Try it out when you get the chance!

Clearly, this is not a sponsored review. I haven’t even made a video on this yet; I just wanted to get the word out as soon as possible!

Celeteque is available at any Watsons and SM Department Store.

Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush Review and Demo

DSC07762

After about 2-3 weeks of using the F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush from Sigma, I am finally presenting a formal review and a little demonstration on the functions of this brush.

This is the first Sigma brush that I have ever used and I can most definitely say that the quality of this brush is amazing. The handle is very sturdy, let alone the metallic ferrule. The handle, unlike other brushes, feels a bit heavier—which is a good indication that it is made from quality material. The bristles feel incredibly soft and are very dense—making it a good applicator for various kinds of makeup products. It is also made of synthetic bristles which is perfect to apply cream-based products.

DSC07764

A closer look on how dense the bristles of the brush are:

DSC07767

The Sigma logo and brush name are neatly embedded on the brush handle.

DSC07759

DSC07754

You all know how profusely I raved about Marionnaud’s N32 Blush Brush, right? It is honestly the first multi-functional brush that I ever used! But when I received the Sigma F80—everything changed!

I’m afraid Marionnaud N32 is now #2. It has been replaced by the F80! Other people might say “You’re just saying that because Sigma is more expensive and you just wanna show off…” Well, say anything you want to say, while I go through the points on why the F80 replaced my #1 favorite brush:

  1. It is incredibly dense, making it a great applicator for a lot of makeup products
  2. It applies cream/liquid/mineral/gel foundation extremely well. You will not see any streaks after application
  3. The bristles are not scratchy—they are very soft, allowing ease of buffing
  4. It makes application of setting powder very well since it pushes the powder onto the face; “setting” everything in
  5. It’s a great tool for applying baked/powder/cream blushes—it’s super easy to buff away using the F80!
  6. It does a great job on contouring as well—especially on the bridge of the nose, the jawline, and most especially the cheekbones!

I think F80’s flat top makes it multi-functional.

If you’re not convinced you can go ahead and watch my video review and demo of this amazing brush!

Product Review: Human Nature Products from beayoutifulshoppe.multiply.com

Bea Dizon, the owner of the online shop http://beayoutifulshoppe.multiply.com/ contacted me a few weeks back and wanted me to review some Human Nature products for her. Since I’ve been curious about these Human Nature stuff for a long time, I did not hesitate and accepted her offer.DSC07455

The products came in the mail after just a few days and I was able to try it all out. Now I will be reviewing each product starting off with the…

1. Human Nature Cleanser and Makeup Remover (with Honey & Cocoa Butter)—“Beautiful skin starts with a BEE! Honey is an all-in-one skin saver—an excellent moisturizer; rich in antioxidants & vitamin C. This cream serves a double purpose: a moisturizer and a gentle makeup remover to keep your skin soft and clean without irritation.”

  • 100% No harmful chemicals
  • No parabens, phthalates, SLS/SLES, formaldehyde, or other toxic substances

How to use:

  1. Massage a button-sized amount all over the face and eye area and gently wipe off with tissue or rinse with water

DSC07481DSC07482

Why I love this product:

I filmed a tutorial the day I tried using this makeup remover. I had full makeup on and I wanted to test if it really does take out all the makeup. What I did was pump out the product and applied it on my made up face. I don’t know why, but I felt stinging sensations on my face. I took cotton balls and just started wiping all the makeup away. True enough, it did remove all my heavy makeup. I was satisfied on how it worked—but not really happy on the stinging part—I think those areas on my face are just sensitive (areas beside the nose)

As great as it is with removing face makeup, it does not remover waterproof mascara and lash adhesive traces—I had to use my usual makeup remover for those two.

I can still see myself using this makeup remover because it’s 100% harmful-chemical free, and heck, it really works!

2. Human Nature All Natural Feminine Wash (with Aloe Vera and Chamomile)

DSC07461DSC07460

Why I love this product:

Well, for one, it smells really “clean”—and again, it’s all natural! Also, a little goes a long way. It leaves a feeling of freshness down there.

3. Human Nature Strengthening Shampoo and Body Wash (with Aloe Vera, Pearl Powder and Peppermint)—“Save your hair before it’s gone! Real pearls can fortify your hair to dramatically reduce hair fall. Beauty and strength! Plus, you can use it as a deeply invigorating body wash! No need to use a lot because a little goes a long way.”

DSC07462DSC07463DSC07464

Why I love this product:

You are all aware how long my hair is—and I had to use a little bit more of this shampoo to get the lather going. My hair smelled really clean and nice after the wash. Peppermint, really? Of course it would smell nice! I also love the fact that you can use it as body wash as well! I used my bath scrunchy with it—my skin felt so smooth afterwards.

4. Human Nature Choco Vanilla Lip Balm

DSC07457DSC07458

Why I love this product:

It’s CHOCOLATE/VANILLA flavored! It tastes so darn good on the lips! Plus, it keep my lips protected from windburn and getting chapped. It smells so GOOD, you’d want to get yourself a chocolate candy.

So that is it for my Human Nature review of these four products, if you have more questions, leave a comment below.
