Makeup Brush Cleaning & Drying

This has been the most requested video and of course I had to grant it. Brush cleaning & drying can be done is a lot of ways—some people use dishwashing soap, extra virgin olive oil, or baby shampoo. Some use Brush Guards to dry them. Well, my own personal way of doing it is simple and easy:

What you need:

1. Palmolive Naturals Intensive Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner (PHP 90.00++)—I treat my brushes how I treat my own hair. The Coco Cream Milk and the Pure Milk Protein in this shampoo & conditioner will definitely prevent drying the bristles of the brush; PLUS IT SMELLS SO GOOD!!!
2. Mesh Pads (PHP 20.00++, Ace Hardware)—these pads are the ones I use to lay my brushes on to dry overnight. They have little holes in them, so moisture from the brushes (that are left after pre-drying) can escape through/evaporate, leaving the brushes all dry and clean the morning after.
3. Makeup Remover (Lip & Eye Makeup Remover from Etude House, PHP 198.00)—this is just to use for brushes that have been used for cream/gel-like products or basically products that are difficult to remove from the brushes (unlike powder based products)

Procedure:

1. Dampen all your makeup brushes
2. Use your palm to swirl the brush around in the shampoo+conditioner
3. Rinse
4. For brushes that have been used for creamy-product application/gel products, soak in the makeup remover and swirl around on your palm before washing with the shampoo+conditioner

Drying:

1. Pre-dry by using a lint-free towel
2. Lay all brushes on mesh pads and cover with mesh pads to prevent dust accumulation
3. Dry overnight

Summer/Spring Makeup Look

This is by far the most colorful and fun look that I have ever done! I used a complete palette from Miners Cosmetics called the “Butterfly Babe”. It contains really bright and fun shades perfect for spring/summer.

This palette actually has the instructions on how to achieve this look:

Instructions:

1. Apply Daisy Dust all over the lids
2. Apply Pop Star across the lids
3. Apply Glam Rock along the lash line
4. Apply Jamboree on the outer V
5. Blend harsh edges
6. Line eyes using the purple liner
7. Liner lower lashline using the purple liner as well
8. Curl lashes and add mascara
9. Contour cheeks
10. Add blush
11. Apply a nude pink lip color

Classic Pin Up Look (Tutorial with a Model)

Product Overview: Ever Bilena Mousse Eyeshadows

Most of our local makeup products lack recognition. Which is why I’ve started this whole new series of Tagalog tutorials and Tagalog Product Overviews to help give praise to local brands that are often tagged as “cheap” and “not of good quality”.

In this video, I am going to show you swatches of the Ever Bilena Mousse Eyeshadows.

These mousse eyeshadows are perfect to use as highlighting agents & eye shadow bases. They aid in making colors appear more vibrant and pop.

How I Do My Brows

It’s always been known to the public how I’ve struggled with my brows through the years! Now here I am, 2 years after, presenting how I do my brows!

I’ve learned this trick of mixing my brow powder with water before application. I find this mixture enabling myself to shape my brows the way I want them. Water makes the color glide on more smoothly, and gives a very sleek line and clean line when dried.

I use my water bottle (with spray nozzle) to dampen my Marionnaud N°9 Brush brush (eyebrow liner end) and then dip it into my brow powder. Then I start defining my brows working my way from middle out, and then going back to the very start; using a spooly, lightly creating this shadow on the beginning.

Once dry, your brows will look oh so perfectly shaped.

Falling in Love with Mineral Makeup

Before I discovered Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals, I have never tried using mineral makeup. I was always stuck in the thought of, “There is NO way this mineral makeup would cover up all my acne scars. I better stick to cream foundations…” UNTIL I TRIED Krave’s makeup.

Steps:

1. Conceal areas that need concealing
2. Apply foundation, opt for mineral makeup as this gives a very light and natural looking finish
3. Add color to the cheeks, coral or light pink is preferable
4. Apply a wash of cream E/S all over the lids
5. Dab on some sparkle on the middle area of the lids, use a mousse eyeshadow
6. Define the crease area using a brown eyeshadow
7. Blend
8. Line your eyes crisply
9. Do your brows
10. Apply lip tint for that subtle hint of color

Super Sale Bazaar 2012 & Go Negosyo Bazaar Meet & Greet + Makeovers

Day 1 of 3

My second time being at the SuperSale Bazaar for my partner Make Up Hub by Naturele Collezione. It was a 3-day event, and I promised Sarah I’d be present in all three dates. We hosted a Meet & Greet and free makeovers for everyone! It was so much fun meeting a lot of my blog readers and subscribers! I cannot describe the joy of hanging out with people who find myself as an inspiration! It was surreal. I got to share quite a handful of my personal favorites from Make Up Hub by NC’s brands, as well as a few tips and tricks that I swear by! I loved having these girls (and boys) over and chitchat with them like we’ve known each other for the longest time!

By 3:30 on the first day of the bazaar, I had to attend another bazaar, and this time, with my other partner, Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals! It was a one-day event for the Go Negosyo Women’s Bazaar hosted by GMA. It was crazy! The booth was totally packed and everyone wanted makeovers! I was also able to meet a handful of my readers during my stay at Krave’s booth. I got to meet Krave’s distributors nationwide, mommies, young ladies, as well as a super young baby girl who watches my videos! I felt so much love.

My schedule this day was absolutely crazy but I made it to the third and final day of the SuperSale Bazaar! I got to meet another super sweet baby girl who watches my videos! She is sooooo cute! Her mom told me how she tells her mom to buy makeup (and even a traincase) after watching my videos! It was too adorable! I actually did not have any more work to do on the third day since Kristine of KS Makeup took over! She is another gorgeous MUA for Make Up Hub by NC. It was so much fun to finally meet her. Such a gorgeous lady.

I never thought this day would come.

I have reached over 1,000,000 total video views on YouTube today! I’ve never felt so fulfilled. I won’t stop here. All the hard work will pay off even more as long as I keep on persevering.
