CJ Jimenez, a fellow make up artist, contacted me a few weeks back and asked me if I could try out and review the red-handled brush set that she is selling. She had them customized in Hong Kong. The brushes are made with goat hair and a set [including 12 pieces of different brushes] is priced at 1,500.00. i wanted to win these make-up brushes because once I get those brushes, it will be my starting foundation for my make-up kit, it felt like I was trying hard to be expert in make-up, i watched tutorials, how they do their foundation routine, eye shadows, brows, lips, it was very hard for me that keeps me the pressure whether to still pursue my love for make-up or not, but then i realized, everyone starts at the bottom, i wanted to learn, i have only few make-up tools but i try to maximize their uses, adding those brushes to my few babies will make me more happier and inspired :) thanks for the tutorials, you keep inspiring us to look at our best always :)

Like majority of those who commented before me, i don't have a brush set. i only have one brush, and it's the synthetic, retractable kind because it was the only thing i could afford at the time when i bought it :)) it serves as my all purpose brush, i guess :) can't afford yet to buy a decent one. being a newb in make-up (in my search of trying new things), i'd like to try out, first-hand, how it is to handle them and not just imagine how i'd use them in front of the mirror.

I want to try a brush set that are made of real quality hair. I buy cheap things because that's just as far as my budget can stretch. But, they aren't really doing me any good. :)
This is also something good to carry around wherever I go because I usually end up applying makeup to friends w/o even intending to do so.

I'm joining this contest and hopefully I would be one of the lucky winners! (fingers cross) Im an avid fan of you Ms. Say! A lot of girls would say they would've LOVE to add this to their collection, or start exploring the colorful world of make up, or maybe some just can't afford to buy brushes like these. I must admit some of my reasons are not far from the others. But wanting these brushes to help me use make up in moving on with life and letting go of things that makes my world a bit dark is what separates me from them. I saw you go through experiencing bad criticisms from others and I really admire how you ignore those. You brace your flaws, live fabulously, and on top of that, you share to the world how girls like me and everyone else can be fab just like you. That's why I'd be really delighted to have these brushes but wanting them though is not just due to the obvious fact that these are really good brushes. But because they came from someone I really admire not just in beauty but also in living life in a most colorful way.

Hello Say! This is soooo exciting! Well, for starter, I want to win this brush set to have a connection with you. Winning this brush would etch my name in your memory bank and that will really be cool because I admire your dedication to share your talent. Idol ka ng lola mo-so to speak! ;-)
I would also want to be able to join you in giving a review on this brush set, as I too am on quest to find a commendable set of brush that is reasonably priced. The fun of exchanging notes and views with you would really bring out the girl in me once again! You've been so great since you started making your own version of Michelle Phan's tutorials and being a make-up newbie, i subscribed and tuned in because you were one of my inspirations. As I said, I just started collecting make-up and I know how much of an investment make up brushes are. Since I am only a student with average allowance to spend on other necessities, I can't afford the investment. I know that they do more than half of the work for you and for that they cost a lot. Nice giveaway! I believe that using the right tools is important in makeup application. Before I started blogging and reading beauty blogs, all I needed to make myself up were a sponge puff and a sponge-tip applicator. There's nothing wrong with using those, don't get me wrong. But through beauty blogs and videos, I realized that applying makeup would be so much easier if I had the proper tools to apply it. I've been saving up for a legit brush set ever since. :)

I want to win this baby because I think it's high time for me to own real makeup brushes. The ones that I use are from Divisoria, which I purchased last 2010. That time, I've already been lemming for good quality brushes, but, seeing that makeup brush sets makes my pocket cry, I decided to go for the cheap ones we saw in Divisoria. I think the proper tools are great to have at hand when you are applying make up...Especially if you are going to be a Make up artist. I'll keep it short and simple why I want to win this brush set. It's already summer and I'm an inspiring make up artist + photographer. I want to go out there and take beautiful photos of my friends, collaborate with other aspiring make up artists and just be creative. It has been my dream since I was a kid to be a makeup artist. Maybe because I grew up looking at my mom putting a mascara on and buying eyeshadow pallettes which i turn into a watercolor for my art project in grade school. I had been believing in myself's artistic side so I didn't stop getting the thoughts of enrolling in a makeup school. I just enrolled in a two-week makeup class, it started last Monday. My school provides all the things we need including the brushes. So far so good. We all know that it is kinda extravagant to imagine owning a traincase full of makeups and brushes needed by a Pro MUA. I had bought a few shades of eyeshadow, lipstick and blushes, but, one thing is yet missing to complement the requirement, a set of brush. This one is perfect for me because I love reds.

This brush set will be an excellent addition to my budding make-up collection. While my Fashion 21 Brush Set (such a good buy)still works wonders for me, this brush set will continue to inspire me and further fuel my unending curiosity in learning new things about make-up. It was never a chore to read beauty blogs (your blog is definitely a good addition to my daily blog hopping routine.), magazines, and books (the the books of the late Kevyn Aucoin are my favorites)about make up and skin care. I still have a lot to learn about make-up but I still have my life ahead of me to explore these things and I hope this brush set will accompany me in my journey. :)I hope it will also give the courage to apply make-up on other people. I'm an avid fan of make up and it has been like that ever since I read your blogs> From your blogs, I started to learn how to put up liquid/cream foundation to discovering that there is such a thing such as Krave's oil eliminator which just works wonders on me! I'm now 25 years old, mature enough to live on my own, but if you translate my age to the "make up years," I'm still way too young. I'm a makeup newbie. I've been trying high and lows for a good makeup brushes and while I still need to improve of my makeup skills, I've been getting great help by checking out Youtube makeup tutorials especially local ones. I wanted to try the brushes, they looked amazing in the pictures and I don't have any decent makeup brushes as of the moment due to budget constraints.
