Latest Purchase and Product Overview: BaByliss iPRO200 Sol-Gel Titanium Digital Ceramic Iron 25mm

BaByliss had a sale over the weekend and I did not think twice to buy the iPRO200 after getting positive feedback from Genn and Sannie who were with me while I tried the curling iron’s magic. From the original price of PHP 2,725.00, 30% was slashed off. I only paid PHP 1,907.50 for this little darling. I saved a lot, and I personally think that this iron is the best one yet. I initially wanted the one with the bigger barrel—but they didn’t have it on sale, and I was not up for spending over two thousand pesos for a curling iron. Since the iPRO200 looked mighty gorgeous and did the job well, I settled for chose it! VS’s curling iron was the #1 on my list (for PHP 2,200.00) but at the back of my mind, BaByliss was always another option—I’m glad I bought it!IMG_1704IMG_1705IMG_1706IMG_1709

Let’s talk about its specifications:

  • Soft curls—25mm
  • LCD Screen—displays the temperature accurately
  • i-Temperature Technology—lets you make perfect curls in record time, temperature will remain perfectly stable throughout the duration of the styling
  • Nano Titanium Ceramic—high density ceramic coating applied; glides and transmits heat, softens, shines and protects hair.
  • Cool tip
  • Swivel cord
  • Temperature settings from 100 degrees Celcius to 200 degrees Celcius

This curling iron heats up like the speed of lightning touching the ground (okay, that might be a little too exaggerated) but it really does heat up very quickly. The saleslady told me I can put it on 200 to build up the heat on the iron instantly, and bring the temperature down as I work with it.IMG_1722I did a test-run on my sister Lady (who looked gorgeous) when I got home, but I wasn’t able to take a photo of it! Nevertheless, I tried it on myself as well and I just loooooove the way my curls bounced! Here’s a little snapshot (pardon the shot, taken with the front camera of an iPhone 4):IMG_1723

And here are proofs of the amazing work of BaByliss:

IMG_1776I will be filming a tutorial using this iron in two day’s time. This is really worth the money I spent.

    1. Hi Say! i was wondering where you bought babyliss products here in Philippines? i was looking and all I saw was vidal sassoon products. most of the beauty geeks in youtube especially in the united states, use cortex or babyliss products. thanks so much.

  2. this one's nice? sale pa kaya sila?

btw, i know you're so happy with your iphone but for the sake of blogging and sharing to your readers whatever photos you have, i think an actual digital camera would still be more appreciated =)

  3. Hi Anna! I'm not really sure if they're still on sale. You can try to check. I think sharing photos using my iPhone is allowable. I mean I use apps like Instagram and such [how can I take a photo with a digicam and post it instantly on Twitpic or whatever photo application], the iPhone 4 takes good photos naman [if it's blurry, then the front cam was used for it]. And don't worry I don't plan to use it all the time for blogging. Thanks for your opinion.

  7. checked it on SM near my place and they don't have it there, OOS daw? funny. never realized this kind of stuff ever get OOS haha. re: using iphone for posting pictures, i specifically meant for blogging. my only concern is that you are one of the 'pro' beauty bloggers, and i think HD pictures are of course very essential. hehe. from a reader's perspective, i don't really like reading "sorry for the blurry pictures blah blah" when in fact i know very well how well you take photos for your blog. so sorry for making this a big deal! well it isn't actually, i just love your blog so much i don't think it deserves some blurry and low def photos=) love you always and keep on inspiring us =)

    xx,
    Anna
