Haul (Brow Pencils, Makeup Remover, Rabito iPhone Case, Protein Shake)

Hi everyone! Remember my “Day in The Life of Say” video last Thursday? I made a haul video out of it. I just picked up a few stuff I needed and wanted to try out. First Stop: Etude House

I also went to the Supermarket and bought dog food + Mandarin Oranges from Dole.

In other stores, they sell the Rabito case for freaking 450.00! So be sure to go to FireWyre and get it for only 150! The protein shake is very yummy—I didn’t have milk to mix it with, so I used water; great taste! They also have a lot of flavors available (you can see it in my Day in The Life of Say video embedded below) I’ll be making demos using the brow pencils soon!

░ A Day in The Life of Say: Brunch at Cafe de Paris ░

Another Sunday brunch at The French Baker. "Cafe de Paris" makes the title look and sound  more interesting since I know I have been blogging an awful lot about The French Baker already! I ordered something new this particular day--no Chicken Croissant, don't worry! Visit www.thefrenchbaker.com for the menu!

We can do without the clam chowder or anything else. But Potato and Bacon? Mmmm...

✔Baked Chicken with Mango Salsa

The chicken tastes amazing. Baked to perfection! 

The salsa tasted waaaay too...sour? Because of the vinaigrette. But ain't it pretty?

✔Chicken Parmigiana

Tastes a lot like lemon. Lemon-y. Calamansi-y for Filipinos. 

Yum yum yum in my tum tum tummy.

✔Soup in A Bread Bowl (Potato and Bacon)

The ultimate favorite of my sisters, my mom and I.

Looks very heavenly! I'd request for "no vinaigrette" next time!

░ A Day in The Life of Say: Lunch @ Imperial Kitchen & Bubbatealicious Milk Tea ♨ ░

I have been staying after school for practices for the past week, hence Kathy and I often have lunch @ school instead of at home. I have developed an uncontrollable addiction to Bubbatealicious' Milk Tea! Visit their site at: http://www.bubbatealicious.com/ 

For this particular day, I ordered the Chocolate Milk Tea and Kathy had the Royal Milk Tea. Both for 50.00 (large size) We decided to eat at Imperial Kitchen and ordered the following:

Spareribs + rice

Fish and Tofu + Yang Chow fried rice

Nothing really special, but something fit for students like us. Imperial Kitchen and Bubbatealicious are located at University of Santo Tomas' carpark.

░ A Day in The Life of Say: Brunch @ The French Baker ░

My most favorite day of the week would probably have to be Sundays. 

This post is, as usual, about where we ate last Sunday after hearing mass. I've endlessly praised the good food, service and ambiance of The French Baker in Twitter. Never was there a time when I got disappointed with this restaurant. The French Baker is such a homey place...somewhere I would go to whenever I need some carbohydrate fix or just some good ol' ice cream shake.

The interiors of the restaurant is simply very classic. I love the way they everything is set up.  The couches, the chairs and tables, the displayed pastries, drinks, and this 'window' where you can view the chef whipping up the dishes. The only thing I want them to change is having the customers order at the counter instead of on our seats. I think it's a hassle on customers' part.

The paper place mats are simply beautiful! They change designs every now and then, but basically all the designs have something to do with Paris, France.

Water on the house. They add flavor by adding slices of lemons and the like.

This is the Angus Beef Burger that my sister ordered.
This came with a pair of plastic gloves to grab hold of the burger with.

This is the Baked Chicken my other sister ordered. Very palatable.
This will truly satisfy your hunger.

I wasn't able to take a photo of the same dish that my mom and myself ordered, but you will see it in the video embedded down below. We both ordered Chicken Salad Croissant with side potato chips to go with it.

░ A Day in The Life of Say: Typical Sunday Brunch @ Razon's + Watsons ░

Sundays are normally church+malling days for my family and I. Since I wanted to take you guys with me, I decided to take footages of the newly opened restaurant where me and my sister Iza ate brunch at after hearing mass @ St. Jude Archdiosecan Shrine. (Mama and my other sister, Lady, wanted to eat someplace else so we decided to split up) Razon's of Guagua recently opened a branch in SM City Manila. Its location is where Pho Hoa was situated before. I feel sad that Pho Hoa had to close down. It's the nearest place where I can satisfy my sudden pho cravings.

Here is what I ordered: Longsilog (longganiza, sinangag-fried rice, and itlog-egg) A serving costs PHP 125.00. You see that tiny saucer above the eggs? That's vinegar with a piece of chili. I've never tried dipping the longganizas into it before but when I tried it last Sunday, I was surprised!!! It tasted soooo yummy! So that's why it's used as a sawsawan (dip). With the three longganizas, you will really feel full afterwards. You will see in the vlog embedded on the bottom of this entry how much I enjoyed eating this.

Now who doesn't LOVE halo-halo? This is Razon's famous halo-halo. It is sold for only P90.00 per serving. The two slices of leche flan on top really tastes soooo good! Although I was a bit disappointed with the one I ordered since it lacked sweetness (for me, at least). Nevertheless, Razon's has the best-tasting halo-halo in the Philippines.

The basket containing the utensils looks really new; I hope they maintain it! I am very particular about these things. I even wipe my spoon and fork with tissue paper before using them. Who else does?

We stopped by Watsons to buy a few things after eating. I had to stop recording since the security guard was giving the "oh no you don't" look. *laughs*

░ A Day in The Life of Say: Dinner @ SpamJam, Mall of Asia ░

If you see that white line on my lips, that's probably my gloss mixed with my Mauvey lip color and some lemonade.

After shopping at the Cosmetologie 2011 event, Kathy, Jayne and I headed to the Mall of Asia to find eats before finally heading home. Kathy was telling us about the Spam Musubi earlier and since Jayne and I haven't tried it yet, we decided to eat at the SpamJam kiosk. It took us about 25 minutes to walk from the other side of the building to the kiosk! 

When we got there, we mindlessly ordered  two musubis each! One spam musubi priced at 38.00 PHP. I didn't think it would be so big and so filling which is the reason why I was not able to finish my second spam musubi and brought it home instead for my mom to try. 

The spam musubis are basically like sushi, with the seaweed wrapping the sticky rice and a thick slice of spam. If you're from Hawaii, you would be 100% familiar with this. I find the spam musubi very tasty and definitely filling. It's because of the sticky rice that I felt so full after just a few bites. We had lemonade to go with the spam musubis.

If you pass by the Mall of Asia, you should definitely check the SpamJam kiosk out. It wouldn't hurt your pocket! You have three choices on the menu: eat it as a sandwich, as a sushi, or as a rice meal with a sunny side up.

░ A Day In The Life of Say: Dinner @ Ling Nam ░

My first "A Day In The Life of Say" video. I didn't really say anything in the video, I just wanted you to see the place and the food we ate. Being Filipino-Chinese, Ling Nam is one of my family's favorite Chinese restaurants. (located at Alonzo Street, Sta. Cruz Manila, Philippines) For the past 10++ years, we have eaten on the exact same table at the second floor, ordered the exact same food (well, almost) and the place hasn't changed dramatically since then. Ling Nam does not have those high-end restaurant designs or aura but their siomai is definitely great. If there is one thing I like in Ling Nam, it would be the siomai. Imagine, before, a piece of siomai was priced at 25.00 (a piece only) and tonight when we came back (after years), it is already priced at 60.00 for two pieces! I think it's a bit too expensive for siomai's but theirs is definitely something you should try. The beef mami is nothing new. They have varieties of noodles to choose from. Even siopaos and such.
