If you noticed, I’m kind of into all this makeup-book-purchasing habit nowadays. I just wanted to share the latest one I picked up from the bookstore. I was honestly just browsing through, but ended up going home with this book.
This is the PRO Make-up Artist “Salon secrets of the professionals” book written by Kit Spencer. This one’s pretty new since it has only been published this year.
The book contains a massive amount of information. Although, I’m not totally wow-ed by the photographs since Bobbi Brown’s Makeup Manual has better ones. Nevertheless, the book is definitely helpful.
This book was wrapped in plastic when I bought it, so I did not expect to see scratches on the front cover. Such a bummer to see the hardbound cover all scratched up. (Okay, so maybe it only has 3-4 scratch marks—but still!) I am also not really loving the fact that this book is ring binded. It’s quite difficult to turn the pages and I always worry about not tearing anything.
Overall, I am very happy with my second makeup book purchase. I am totally going to be a sponge in the next months—will definitely try my hardest to learn on my own.
